DIPLOMATIC VISA
Except in circumstance where Government of Nepal has issued
a special order, diplomat visa shall be issued to any
individual who has obtained a diplomatic passport from any
country, or to whom Government of Neapl has considered it
desirable to provide diplomatic privileges, as well as to
the families of such individual.
OFFICIAL VISA
Official visas shall be issued to employees of
foreign diplomatic mission or consulates in Nepal who have
obtained official passports.
Foreign advisors and experts staying in Nepal under
agreement with Nepal Goverment.
Employees of offices of the United Nations Organization or
its constituent agencies situated laisser passers issued by
the United Nations.
Volunteers and families of such employees or individuals.
NON TOURIST VISA
Foreigners of the following categories shall be
granted non tourist visa
Foreigners who want to study,teach or engage in research at
any educational institution in the Nepal.
Foreign employees of the office of any international air
lines located in the Nepal.
Foreigners appointed on remuneration basis in any
firm,company or agency within the Nepal.
Foreigners desirous of engaging in trade within the Nepal.
Foreigners wishing to visit the Nepal as representatives of
a foreign news paper,magazine,or news agency.
Foreigners having matrimonial relations with Nepali
nationals and their children.
Relatives of foreigners in possession of deplomatic or
official visa and those who visit as nurses.
Foreigners with joint investments in bussinesses or
industries approved by Nepal Government.
Wives and childrens of foreigneres who have been granted non
tourist visas under these regulations.
TOURIST VISAS
Tourist visas shall be issued to
tourist.
Term of Extension of Tourist visas
In
case any tourist desires to extend his living the Central
Immigration office may do so a maximum period of one month
at one time and other immigration offices or else the local
police office may do so by a maximum period of seven days at
one time,in such a way that the totel term of the visa does
not exceed three months.
In
case it becomes necessary for any tourist to extend the term
of his visa beyond the three month period for any proper
reasons the central immigration office may extend the trem
by a maximum period of one month with the approval of the
Ministry of Home
Any
tourist who re enters into the Nepal within less then three
month from the date of his last departure from the Kingdom
of Nepal shall be granted a visa valid for maximum of one
month only
Tourist
shall be allowed to re enter into the Nepal ordinarily only
after one month from the date of their departure from the
Nepal.
ACTS FORBIDDEN FOR TOURIST
Foreigners staying within the Nepal on the basis of
tourist visa must refrain from acting as follows
Working in any association or on an individual basis on
remuneration of any kind or as volunteers.
Engaging in non tourist activities by altering the purpose
of tour
POWER OF IMMIGRATION OFFICE TO ISSUE
VISAS TO FOREIGNERS COMING WITH OUT VISA
In case any foreigners possessing a valid passport or
any ststeless foreigner not possessing any passport enter
the Nepal without obtaining a visa from any mission the
immigration office of the entry point may issue a tourist
visa for a trem not exceeding 15 days.
INTERIM VISAS
Interim visas shall be issued to foreigners who enter
into Nepal on their way from one country to another or who
are sent back to the Kingdom of Nepal after being denied
entry into other country after departure from Nepal.
Visa to be issued under Sug Rule (1) shall be valid for a
period not exceeding one week.
RESIDENTIAL VISAS
Foreigners
of the following categories who wish to spend their life in
the Nepal shall be granted residential visas.
Person
of international reputation.
Person
who have rendered spcial and contribution in the economic,
social and cultural fields of Nepal.
Person
who have rendered any distinct contribution to the
development of the Nepal.
Person
whom Nepal Government deems fit for settlement in Nepal.
